Event Post: Private New Year's Eve party!

Decided to go for a slightly more mainstream outfit for New Year's. Going to a party at a good friend's house. (A friend I'm hoping very soon to do a post about/with.)
The top is a sheer skull blouse accented with some lace my mother got me for Christmas.

I decided to through a purple cami underneath and will be accenting it with some more purple things like make-up and maybe some jewelry.

Close up of the lace detail.

Now to get drunk! Remember kids, don't drink and drive! :D

Even post: Resurrection: A Very Metal Christmas

First we'll start with something not entirely related. My job has been doing themed weekends as the Holidays draw near. One of the themes was Pajamas. This is what I wore.

Now onto the point of this post! The club I frequent up in Manchester does a metal themed night every so often. Now some people might argue that goth and metal don't go together but I think they are like cousins and it's fun when they hang out sometimes. As it was also holiday themed I tried to dress appropriately. red lips, red nails, a red and green belt. (more below).

For my shirt I wore a very cool tank-top my mother-in-law bought me for X-mas one year. What makes it so awesome is from far away it just looks like a normal Chrissmassy shirt. But then you get close up and the snowflakes are actually tiny skulls! Awesome right?

Also wore a hat 'cuz it's December in New England and it's cold.

Event post: Birthday Rez!

So today was my 27th birthday. It was pretty good. Do I look 27? I dunno.

Anyways, tomorrow is a new Rez and since it's the day after my bday I'm treating it like it's a party for me. :P

So I'm obsessed with Batman. Like for reals. I'm not religious but Batman might be my Jesus. I have a shit-ton of Batman things but I have had this one Batman tu-tu I have never really worn. I was saving it. For what I'm not sure but I'm finally wearing it with this outfit. Ballerina Batman? Haha.

Here are some of my accessories and underthings! Hope I see some of you there! Buy me drinks and give me hugs! *dances*

Event post: Mad Men and Femme Fatales.

Immediately after the Halloween one Rez had another night. This one's theme was to dress up nice. Suits, dresses, to the nines! I went through all my dress and found the one dress I haven't worn clubbing; the dress I wore to my Junior Prom. It fit me barely. It was super tight and I had to roll it on to me basically but I got it on! Try and ignore the poor quality of pictures. I swear I'm going to invest in something better than our phone cameras...

This was the event. And the DJ was my My brother-in-law.

Halloween part 2: Event post.

My outfit for the Halloween Rez event. I once again failed at taking a picture of the whole thing. Even though it was Halloween instead of my actual costume I went with an attempt at a stereotypical goth from the late 90's/ early 2000's. I didn't have a proper choker or collar but I did make some sock arm warmers. It was a fun time though.

Having trouble placing these pictures the way I want. But I'm giving up.

This is Halloween Part one.

This post is just to show off the Halloween costume of my Husband and I. I don't know how many of you have seen the Netflix original animated series BoJack Horseman, but it's an awesome show. Well I've become a pretty big fan of it and decided that a BoJack costume could be awesome. I would be BoJack and my husband would be his roommate Todd. I'll post a screenshot from the actual show below and and then pictures of our actual costumes and you guys can compare how good they are or whatever.
BoJack is on the left, Todd is to the right of him. The other characters were just one-offs from the episode this screen shot was taken from.

Here's my BoJack! In case you haven't  seen the show, the character of BoJack is alcoholic and a drug addict, hence the booze and pill props. (The pills were just candy and the booze was mostly apple juice.)

And here's my husband as Todd! Both the box of toaster stroodle and the keyboard playing are references from the show.

Well that's it for this post. I'll seeya again tomorrow for an event post about Resurrection: Halloween.

School daaaaays!

So I'm in college now. It's right around midterm time. And it has been keeping me buuusyyyy! Hence the failing of my ability to maintain a constant amount of posts. Don't worry though I haven't forgotten you my little fashion friends! I still have tons of ideas, including a post Halloween shopping special. (assuming I can get some extra money ready.) I also am thinking about some posts that aren't exclusively fashion-centric. Hell it's my blog, I can post what I want. :P

So speaking of school, here's an outfit I wore to class recently. I've called it 'Red and Dead.'

Pretty much the whole outfit was bought at Old Navy.

Shoes were bought at the Converse Outlet store in Merrimack, NH.

The backpack I've had since middle-school.

The shirt as I said is from Old Navy, specifically from the men's section. They actually have some pretty cool stuff. The little skull clips in my hair were from an art booth at a convention. Can't remember if it was Anime Boston or Pax East...

Event Res: Vikings Vs. Pirates.

Another Event post! This on was for Rez: Vikings Vs. Pirates! I chose viking.

The top of my outfit is made mostly of my husbands elf costume, We made modified the t-shirt after buying it cheap from Savers.

I borrowed his little booties too. Also got them from Savers. (I actually completely ruined the soles dancing at this event. heh.)

A picture of the whole outfit though sadly it's blurry. I forgot to include the cloak I had or close ups of the accessories. Oh well.

The helmet was bought during a recent trip to Minnesota. It was handmade by locals out there. I am actually planning on a post dedicated to some of the outfits I wore out there. It's taking me a while since I had been traveling a lot and I just started college.

Seeya soon!

Event post: Impulse Pride.

Another event! This one is not strictly goth but I'm posting it anyways. THe night was Impulse, it takes place in the same bar as Resurrection. My husband was the opening DJ so I was pumped to go. The theme was the last in a series of themed nights featuring the seven deadly sins. This night was Pride. I didn't have anything super pridey (though I seriously considered making a shirt with my face on it, got lazy though.) I wore a Scorpio shirt my mom gave me a long time ago and since it's green, which is one of my favorite colors, I decided to go for an entire outfit made out of my favorite colors. Green and purple everything!

Here's a picture of the overall outfit. I ended up changing the shoes to a pair of little booty things I own.

This doesn't really show anything different but I included it because my husband decided to get trigger happy and I thought it was funny. His outfit was much more prideful than mine. I wonder if I can get him to send me a picture of it...

Close up of some of my accessories.

Hah! I got him to send it! Look at all that pride!

:D

Summer goth.

So I've been mostly posting outfits I've put together for special events. Today I've decided to post a casual outfit. (Full disclosure, I do not dress exceptionally goth all the time. My wardrobe isn't quite there yet for me.) This is a variation of one of my favorite summer goth outfits. Some goths or even non-goths have a hard time with the idea of dressing for summer.

This one is a tank top featuring a rib and spine design. It's the kind of tank-top that has the larger arm holes. I like to wear fancy bras and things underneath it sometimes. Gray shorts. Very ripped and worn lacey tights. The holes add extra ventilation. For shoes I'm wearing Sperry Topsiders. These shoes were originally designed to be worn by people walking around the deck of a yacht and are mostly worn without socks. I am amused every time I wear these shoes because they're originally a very preppy brand.

Where I got my outfit: Headband is from Dollar Tree, Necklace was made from items bought at Headlines, Tank-top was bought on clearance from Hot-topic, Tights were on clearance shorts were not got both using my Old Navy discount.
Got these for cheap from Savers.

Event post: Resurrection Clusterfuck!

I want to start this blog by apologizing to no-one in particular. Missed  posting about my first time going to Plague up in Portland Maine. Some things came up and sadly didn't go as planned. Oh wells.

Tonight is Resurrection: CLUSTERFUCK! A night in which 16 DJ's are going to take turns playing music for 15 minutes each. There are a few DJ's I know that are going to be there but the main two I'm there for are my brother-in-law Sawtooth and my husband DJBadAxe. Since my husband is one of the DJ's I thought it'd be cute to let him pick my outfit.

DJBadAxe examines my closet' contents.

Underneath the top he picked I will be wearing this corset. I bought it on clearance from a halloween store.

Detail of the back.

Here is the top he picked. A long sleeved lacey victorian style top. I got this shirt in middle school. I failed to take a picture of it but he also picked a a skirt that goes down to my shins and a pair of tights. This is normally an outfit I'd wear in cooler weather but it is a nice outfit. Also might be surprising to some that he picked something so conservative. Well see you tonight!

Event Post HaVeN: Dark Waves.

Made last minute plans to attend a night I've never been to. I'm really excited since I have this goal to go to all the Goth nights in New England at least once. This ones a summer beach party deal. Goths in bathing suits, I cannot wait. (I'm really hoping someone sports a Wednesday Addams style suit!)

I have two bathing suits I was debating wearing and have decided to bring both, maybe change halfway through the night if I'm feeling frisky! I'm going to post pictures of me wearing them on here. They are not great so be warned! (Once again I'll try and post pro pictures if I can.)

This bathing suit has a nice cut to it that flatters my body shape in a nice way. This picture is old though and quite a few of the little metal studs have fallen off.

Terrible picture I know, but you can see the design part. This suit is actual uncomfortable and doesn't stay on all so well, but the design is really nice.

I'll also be bringing my little skull and crossbone tote bag, Silent Hill beach towel and spiky sandals.

Slightly different view of the sandals. Those spike are actual metal. and yes they hurt.

Next post is another special event first time club post! Yay!

Event Post: Resurrection Just Dance!

This weeks event doesn't have a theme so I didn't really have guidelines to follow. Which is nice every once in a while to just wear straight up gothiness. I decided to get bony. I have a serious things for bones, skulls in particular. (I could do a blog dedicated to one skull thing I own a day and I might have enough for a year or more.)

Wearing a bony tank top with some flowers and the like accenting it. Bought it on clearance at Hot Topic earlier in the summer. The skirt had prints of tiny skulls and roses. I got the skirt from Wet Seal when I was in High School.

Close ups of the tank-top and skirt.

I've decided I want to wear this see-through top with the outfit. It has a neat spine going on. You can also see the back of the ribs and pelvis and hip bones from the tank-top underneath. I also bought this shirt on clearance at Hot Topic.

Close up of the top of the back.

After realizing the darkness of my divider was kind of making my outfit hard to see, I finally decided to take a picture of the whole thing against a white wall.

Booties that I got for fairly cheap at Saver's and thigh-highs a friend bought me for a birthday a couple years ago. Bones!
